Resolute Man Scholarship
The Alpha Nu Resolute Man Scholarship Application is currently open for Fall 2024. The completed scholarship application is due by 11:59 PM on August 22nd.
The “Alpha Nu Resolute Man Scholarship” is an annual award which recognizes an incoming freshman enrolling at the Georgia Institute of Technology. One recipient for the scholarship will be selected to receive a $500 award. This recipient will be a student who exhibits the qualities of a Resolute Man through previous academic and extracurricular experiences, strong values and plans to show a commitment to our campus and local communities. The scholarship is open to any enrolling freshman that identifies as a man.
Our Chapter is extremely proud to embody our Fraternity’s maxim “Alma Mater First and Theta Chi for Alma Mater.” Historically, our Brotherhood GPA not only exceeded the All-IFC Fraternity Men’s GPA, but surpassed the All-Greek and All-Undergraduate average GPAs as well. At an institution of high caliber such as Georgia Tech, we recognize the importance of supporting all of our members in their academic endeavors, and we believe this emphasis on academic success begins with our new members.
As mentioned previously, you are eligible to apply for the “Alpha Nu Resolute Man Scholarship” if you are an incoming freshman male student enrolling at Georgia Tech for the first time in Summer or Fall 2024. To be considered for the scholarship, a completed application with a copy of your most recent resume must be received before the deadline. If you would like to include any additional information with your application, you should include it after your responses to the questions.
If you would like to apply, please first review the scholarship application. Once completed, you may upload the application and your resume to this form. If you have any questions or would like more information on the scholarship, please contact Everett Stubin, our Recruitment Chairman at estubin3@gatech.edu.
Frequently Asked Questions:
1) How does the application and interview selection process work?
-The evaluation of applications, selection of interview recipients and scoring of interviews will all be conducted by the Alpha Nu Scholarship Selection Committee. This committee includes our Resolute Man Scholarship Chair, Scholarship Chair, members of our Executive Committee and other members of the Fraternity. During both the application and interview, we are looking to find men of strong character who are passionate about making a difference in their communities and committed to becoming leaders on our campus.
2) I am a transfer student and this is my first year at Georgia Tech. Am I still eligible to apply?
-Yes! Please be sure to clarify this on your application.
3) If I am a scholarship recipient, am I obligated to join Theta Chi?
-Absolutely not! While we encourage you to learn more about our Chapter and visit our house during Formal Rush, applying for or winning this scholarship neither obligates you to join Theta Chi, nor guarantees that we will extend a bid of membership.
